Dental Bridges

Are you missing teeth and hate the instability of dentures? Bridges may be an ideal option for you.

If left untreated, missing teeth or gaps in your mouth will cause remaining teeth to drift out of position. This will eventually affect your bite. People with missing teeth have higher rates of gum disease, and other dental and health related diseases.

For patients in this situation our dentists will usually recommend a dental bridge if there is one or more missing teeth.

How do dental bridges work?

Dental bridges literally ‘bridge’ the gap between two missing teeth. The bridge has two crowns (also called abutment teeth) for either side of the gap and a false tooth or teeth right in the middle. Dental bridges may either be supported by natural (existing teeth) or implants.
